Project: National Forensic Mental Health Hospital in Portrane

In October 2017, O’Reilly Concrete commenced work on yet another exciting National Project – the new €120 million National Forensic Mental Health Hospital in Portrane, Dublin.

The development of the project was backed by Government funding and O’Reilly Concrete were contracted by JJ Rhattigans/OHL Limited to supply and install the Precast Frames, Hollowcore Floors and a bespoke designed series of Precast Bathroom Pods to the facility.

O’Reilly Concrete have designed, manufactured and have begun the installation of the full precast structure, including a new innovative bespoke Bathroom Pod Design for each room. The construction of the 170 bedrooms is well underway on the grounds of St. Ita’s Hospital, Portrane. The entire complex has been designed to meet BREEAM accreditation as a cost-effective means of bringing sustainable value to development.

The campus will facilitate segregated high and medium secure services and includes a number of shared facilities. It will include 13 hospital wards, a primary healthcare and therapy centre and administrative complex and is due for completion in the summer of 2019.[/fusion_text][fusion_text]
