Carman Hall Student Accommodation

Some brilliant progress pictures of 207-bed purpose-built student accommodation development on Carman Hall in Merchants Quay, Dublin.

The Crosslane Student Developments scheme comprises of three residential buildings of between three and six storeys, with 207 high-specification en-suite beds arranged in cluster apartments of between five to eight bedrooms. The development will also feature significant dedicated communal areas, including a common room, gym, study room, bicycle storage, a public coffee shop at ground level and a private outdoor landscaped courtyard.

The site is located at the junction of Carman Hall and Garden Lane, within Dublin’s main ring road, just to the west of the city centre and south of the River Liffey. The development is a short walk away from Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons’ campus in Ireland campus, with the University College Dublin and Dublin City University being easily accessible by public transport.

O’Reilly Concrete are currently supplying and fitting the precast frame for the project including the walls, floors, columns and beams for the main contractor, Stewart Construction. Credit must also go to the Consultant Engineers on the job, Duke McCaffrey Consulting.

Block 01 has since been finished whilst Block 02 has one level left to complete and Block 03 has 2 levels to complete. The scheduled date for completion is 4 weeks from now, Friday 15th March at which stage the full precast frame for the 3 blocks will be finished.

O’Reilly Concrete have been successful in securing many new precast construction projects in Ireland and have been contracted by MEIC to design and fit the precast frame of a new school project in Portlaoise. This new school comes under the Department of Education national Rapid Build Schools Programme 2017-2019.

The new construction of the St Francis Special School Community College and Community Facility, Portlaoise involves the construction of a new two-storey 12-classroom special needs school, including staff and pupil facilities and ancillary spaces, floor area 2912m3.

O’Reilly concrete were contracted by Coinford to design, manufacture and fit all precast Columns for both blocks 1 & 2 of the complete regeneration of the apartments – one of the blocks being 25 Storeys high.

The buildings make a stunning backdrop to the Nature Reserve.

The commencement of yet another prestigious residential project for the O’Reilly Precast Concrete Team. We have been contracted by Castlethorn to supply and fit at Belarmine Woods in Dublin. This is an exclusive and prestigious residential development located in the stunning foothills of the Dublin Mountains. Belarmine Woods comprises a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes laid out in a series of private cul-de-sacs.

O’Reilly Concrete are manufacturing, designing and fitting Precast Walls and Floors to the development.

 

We are proud to announce that O’Reilly Concrete have completed the first 3 levels of ‘One Stemple Exchange’ located in the landscaped campus of Blanchardstown Corporate Park.

Once completed this prestigious building will extend to 85,164sq.f and comprise of six storeys of bright, spacious, LEED Gold office space, over basement level carparking. O’Reilly Concrete have been contracted by Bretland Construction to supply all Precast Walls, Floors, Stairs and Columns.

A key feature of this project is the clear column free floorplates spanning 12m, allowing complete flexibility for the potential occupants.

 

A couple of superb progress pictures from a Nursing Home under construction in Foxrock, Dublin for Purcell Construction. The development has been divided into 3 Blocks-A,B and C. Block A has been split into three parts with A1 completed, A2 and A3 are currently under construction. Block B-Ground to floor is now finished with Block C scheduled to begin in a couple of weeks. The Consultant Engineer on the development is Walsh Consulting whilst Reddy Architecture + Urbanism are the Architects.

O’Reilly Concrete are supplying and fitting the whole Precast frame including walls, floors, stairs, columns and beams. This is one of the first projects in Ireland using Delta Beams working closely with Peikko Group Corporation. The project is due for completion at the end of March, we will hopefully have more updated pictures for you soon!

Some brilliant progress pictures of The Stage in Shoreditch which is a £750m mixed-use development in Shoreditch on the site of Shakespeare’s former Curtain Theatre. The development will consist of a 37 storey tower, shops, restaurants and office buildings. There will be 275,000 sq. ft of office space, 412 apartments for private sale and 400,000 sq. ft of mixed use space.

O’Reilly Concrete are supplying the specifically designed 85N self-compacting concrete. The increased strength of this concrete is achieved using micro-silica which is adding to the recipe during the batching process. This unique recipe produces an extremely high standard of finish.This increased strength is due to the building being one of the tallest, multi-story buildings in the heart of London.

O’Reilly Concrete are extremely proud to manufacture and design the precast concrete columns for this high-profile and prestigious job. We are also thrilled to be working with CJ O’Shea Group who are one of the largest privately-owned construction and property development companies in London and the South East. The Consultant Engineer on the development is Walsh Consulting.

The new development is scheduled to be finished before the start of the 2019/2020 academic year.
